Webster University will begin offering a training program to teach students the skills to intervene in “problem situations” they see on campus.

The program will be offered through Step Up! Bystander Intervention Training. According to a Webster News press release, the topics addressed will include “relationship abuse, discrimination, hazing, sexual assault, alcohol abuse and depression.”

The training is offered in both 60- and 90-minute versions; any group on campus can request a session. Eleven faculty members have been trained as program facilitators.

Interested parties can find out more at stepupprogram.org or email studentaffairs@webster. edu to schedule a session.
